altitude of 15075 feet , it is the largest lake in ladakh. Adjacent to this

due to its Buddhist monastery.
TSO KAR LAKE: The tourists can find accommodations in the
tented camp on lake's west bank. It used to be one of the major sources of
salt.
YARAB TSO LAKE: One can witness the crystal clear
water and enchanting picture of its surroundings.

DRESS CODE
A simple pullover jacket will do for day but as soon as sun goes down the temperature drops and it could reach to
zero degrees. one should carry heavy jackets for nights in visit ladakh. Prefer carrying full sleeved clothes, trousers to avoid frostbiting winters. Influence of Buddhism
can be seen in the attires ladakh
people.
one should avoid wearing shorts,
sleeveless shirts, tank tops etc, in public places especially in monasteries. Short
clothing is acceptable in camp site away from
monasteries and temples, but they
should be changed for trousers , slacks
, etc., in villages where you might stop.
