DRESS CODE

A simple pullover jacket will do for day but as soon as sun goes down  the temperature drops and it could reach to zero degrees. one should carry heavy jackets for nights in visit ladakh.  Prefer carrying  full sleeved clothes, trousers to  avoid frostbiting winters. Influence of Buddhism can be seen in the  attires ladakh people.

one should avoid wearing  shorts, sleeveless shirts, tank tops etc, in public places especially in monasteries. Short clothing is acceptable in camp site away from  monasteries  and temples, but they should be changed  for trousers , slacks , etc., in villages where you might stop.
